Gurubalan who belonged to a gang, axed another rival gang member on his head killing him five hours later.
Gurubalan and his co-assailants managed to get away without being caught.
Five months later, Gurubalan was facing financial problems with loansharks breathing 'down his neck'. He decides to surrender himself to the police for posession of deadly weapons which carries a maximum jail sentence of three years. Gurubalan, saw this as a way to relieve himself from his financial troubles. Upon surrendering, the police amidst investigation, discover Gurubalan was also involved in the killing of the rival gang member five months ago. Now, instead of the three years jail sentence which he wanted, Gurubalan, faces the death penalty.
